Funkadelic Food Truck is owned and operated by Chef Jerry Asker, who grew up in Jacksonville working at his family’s restaurant, Jerry’s Sports Grille. The Funkadelic Food Truck brings together Jerry’s passion for great food, art and funk music. The colorful truck was hand painted by local artist Brian Barnard. Funk music plays from truck mounted speakers while you wait for your order or enjoy your meal.

The food at Funkadelic is upscale in terms of ingredients and construction. Sushi grade Ahi Tuna is used for Ahi Tuna Nachos and Togarashi Seared Ahi Tuna dishes. A 3-meat combination of brisket, short ribs and chuck is used to make an incredibly flavorful burger. Specials will be a regular part of the rotation, so keep an eye out for them.

If you can’t decide what to order:

  • The tuna dishes are all delicious. The Panko Crusted Ahi Tuna Sliders are served as an occasional special and are worth grabbing when they’re available. 
  • The Prime Rib Sandwich is one of the most popular items and is quick to sell out.
  • The Burger is very tasty on its own but an egg adds another layer of deliciousness.
  • The Roasted Beet Home Fries are unique. They’re nicely spiced and also come with a side dipper of Togarashi Aioli.
